March 20, World Day for the Performing Arts for Children and Young People

He March 20 is celebrated internationally World Day of the Performing Arts for Children and YouthA day to globally support the right of all children to equal access to the arts, especially the performing arts. On this day, ASSITEJ is launching an international message highlighting the importance of theater, dance, circus, and puppetry in the education of young children.

'Take a girl to the theater. Take a boy to the theater.' is the slogan of the international campaign. It encourages everyone to celebrate World Day by taking a child to see a show.

A website has been created, diamundialartesescenicas.com, where to centralize all communication materials and where you can find a agenda for the month of March, in which all those companies, halls, theaters, collectives and other professionals can upload your programming March, thus highlighting the richness and diversity of the performing arts for children and young people. This should be a joint celebration where children and young people are the protagonists. A present and capable audience that needs to be recognized.
