Yesterday, December 15th, the 44th Madrid Children's and Young People's Book Fair at the Conde Duque Cultural Center. ASSITEJ Spain, as a member of the General Council of Children's and Young Adult Literature, participated in the inauguration of this new edition.

The Book Fair will be open until December 30th, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Due to the current situation, this edition will not have physical books, but tablets or electronic devices will be able to access the various books, resources, and more offered at the Fair.

The motto of this year's Salon is "From my window", and seeks to create a space where they can explore the diverse ways in which children's and young adult literature reaches its audiences. Children and young adults will be able to enjoy a variety of activities tailored to their needs, from workshops to exhibitions featuring leading industry professionals, from writers to illustrators.

The Children's and Young People's Book Fair is organized by the General Council of Children's and Young People's Books, a non-profit organization representing the Spanish language at the OEPLI (Spanish Book Fair), the Spanish branch of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), which works to foster reading habits in children and adolescents. The Fair would not be possible without the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid, and many other organizations and foundations, not to mention the publishers, writers, illustrators, and the reading public. They all contribute to and support the Fair to achieve excellence and ensure we can improve year after year.

Enjoy reading this Christmas and sign up! here at the 44th Madrid Children's and Young Adult Book Fair!
