XXII ASSITEJ Spain Award for Children's and Youth Theater

The call for applications to participate in the XXII ASSITEJ Spain Award for Children's and Youth Theater, which aims to stimulate creation of dramaturgy aimed at young audiences.

The award is held biannually and is open to submissions written in Spanish or any of the co-official languages of Spain (with a translation). This year, submissions may be individually signed or co-authored. The theme and structure are open to submission, but they must be unpublished works that have not won awards in other competitions.

There is a single cash prize of €2,500, accompanied by a commemorative trophy. The work may also be published by ASSITEJ Spain in its Theatre Collection.

The winning work in the last edition (2018) was Of sugar / Of sucre by Jordi Palet i Puig.

The ASSITEJ Spain Prize for Theatre for Children and Youth has been held for more than 50 years.

The reception of originals is open until October 15 at 24:00h (Spanish peninsular time).
