The World Congress of ASSITEJ calls for:
Productions / Shows for, by and with children and young people. All genres and artistic expressions are welcome. Particular attention will be paid to participation, the breadth of artistic forms and the celebration of community impact. The World Congress festival is an opportunity to invite professionals working in public space, in non-traditional forms, in participation, in immersive and sensorial installations. Professional Exchange Program sessions including workshops, seminars, conferences, round tables, meetings, networking sessions, film screenings, exhibitions, social events and other formats related to the performing arts for young audiences (sessions can be presented “in person”, “online” or a “hybrid” version). Conference presentations focused on the theme “Voices of a New World: Legacy and Innovation in Theatre for Young Audiences”. Papers may take a variety of perspectives, including history and cultural contexts, media, aesthetics and art forms, social interventions through art, psychology, theoretical concepts of children and childhood, social and economic conditions, sustainability, race and ethnicity, gender, accessibility, ability and sexual orientation.
