The Adventures of Tom Sawyer will be at the Teatro San Pol on January 12, 13, 19 and 20, 2013
"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain comes to us from the prestigious Chilean company Escarabajo Teatro, in a family production that mixes various resources of physical and puppet theater, in which the central theme is the importance of childhood as a human refuge against an industrialized world.
The play aims to rescue the values of friendship, loyalty, imagination and children's rights in a theatrical narrative full of games, music, epic comedy and commedia dell arte.
The dramatization of the adventures of these two friends, funny, tender or surprising, goes beyond the indispensable and safe entertainment. Appealing to the eternal imagination and the natural joy of childhood, the work rescues Twain's philosophical content, claiming childhood as the primordial space to achieve a better world.
