ASSITEJ Spain, in its commitment to the defense of children's and youth literature and, more specifically, dramaturgy aimed at children and youth, joins the celebration of International Book Day, which takes place every year on April 23rd. It will take place throughout the week from April 22nd to 27th participating in Argalibro, the Book Week of the Arganzuela district.
Throughout the week there will be different activities promoted by the Arganzuela Culture and Festivals Board: storytelling for adults, tributes to writers such as León Felipe, lectures by authors such as Isaac Rosa, activities for families and children, panels on women's literature and feminism, writing workshops and much more.
We especially highlight the open-air fair which will take place on the last day, the Saturday 27th, at the Juan Antonio Vallejo-Nájera Botas WalkThe fair will have 18 booths open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There you will find our stand with the latest developments published in the ASSITEJ Spain collections.
The Arganzuela Book Week will conclude with the celebration of a speed writing contest promoted by the Primaduroverales writers association, which will take place between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
