We are very pleased to inform you that, following the votes received by the members of ASSITEJ Spain, La Rous has been awarded the 2019 ASSITEJ Spain National PrizeThis honorary award recognizes La Rous's contribution to quality performing arts for children and youth.

La Rous is a theatre company created in 2008 by Rosa Díaz, who has worked as an actress, director and playwright for 40 years. Grandpa's house This is La Rous's first show, with her own script and direction. She won the Best Show Award at the FETEN 2009 International Children's and Young People's Theatre Fair. In 2011, she premiered her second show at FETEN, The shelter, with which she won the Best Show Award and the Best Female Performance Award.

This ASSITEJ Spain National Award 2019 joins, among other awards, the National Award for Performing Arts for Children and Youth awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain in 2011, in recognition of the artistic quality, coherence and originality of its shows. After this recognition, in 2013 he premiered his third show at La Mostra D'Igualada, A girlIn 2014, she received three awards at FETEN for this show: Best Female Performance, Best Stage Space, and Best Original Music by Iván Monje, in addition to being a finalist at the 2014 Max Awards. In 2016, she premiered Threads, which received the FETEN Award for Playwriting and Female Performance, in addition to being a show recommended by La Red.

The Rous It also develops research areas by carrying out artistic residencies abroad to explore new ways of working. It collaborates through agreements with the training of future technicians for the performing arts, and offers training courses in the fields of directing, acting, and voice. In addition, coinciding with Rosa Díaz's 40-year career, the Alhambra Theatre in Granada has dedicated the week of November 12-17 to family audiences with the revival of three of the most representative shows from this Granada-based company: Grandpa's houseThreads and A Girl.
