, with the aim of promoting creation and arousing greater interest in quality theatre aimed at children and young people, is announcing the XXIII ASSITEJ Spain Prize for Theatre for Children and Young People.

Authors of any nationality may participate with original works written in Spanish or in any of the official languages of the Spanish State (accompanied by a translation into Spanish), and which are adapted to the theatrical genre, as well as to children or young people. The theme, structure and number of characters are completely free. The works must be unpublished and not have won any other awards in competitions. Works co-authored may be submitted.

Each participant may submit a maximum of two works, which will be sent by email to premios@assitej.es in PDF format and with a minimum length of 30 pages.

A single prize of €2,500 and a commemorative trophy will be awarded to the best work submitted. In addition, the winning work may be published by ASSITEJ within the Theatre Collection.

The deadline for applicants to submit their texts will end on September 15, 2024 at 24:00 (Spanish peninsular time), and the jury will make its decision public before February 15 of next year.
