Within the framework of the XXI ASSITEJ World Congress and Festival of Performing Arts for Children and Youth, which was entitled Voices of a New World and took place in Havana, Cuba, from May 24 to June 2, 2024, the General Assembly of ASSITEJ International was held, at which elections were held to select the representatives of the new international executive committee for the period 2024-2027.

With a presence in more than 75 countries, the election of Gonzalo Moreno, Secretary General of ASSITEJ Spain, as a member of the Executive Committee of ASSITEJ International represents recognition of the work our national center has been doing in recent years, in its firm commitment to the development of quality performing arts for children and young people worldwide and as a guarantor of children's and young people's right to access the arts.

Founded in 1965, ASSITEJ International is the largest performing arts association for children and youth. A network of artists and organizations dedicated to the belief that every child and young person deserves access to the arts, especially live performance, from the earliest possible age.
