He Thursday, March 5 We present the new volume of the Theatre Collection: Click, when everything changes, the text by Amaranta Osorio and Itziar Pascual, winner of the 2nd Calderón Theatre Foundation Prize for Dramatic Literature, awarded every two years by the Calderón Theatre Foundation of Valladolid.
Click, when everything changes, is a play that speaks to a time in life filled with searching, discoveries, and insecurities. A play that speaks to adults who forget they were teenagers, and to teenagers who want to start being adults soon. A play about abuse, harassment, loneliness, and misunderstanding, but also about the importance of sharing our fears and dreams, the need to listen to the youngest and approach them with love and responsibility.
The award jury, composed of playwright José Manuel Mora; stage directors Nina Reglero and Eduardo Vasco; theater producer and distributor Emilia Yagüe; and artistic director of the Teatro Calderón, José María Viteri, praised the complex portrayal of society and the world of young people presented by the authors of this work.
Amaranta Osorio She is an author, actress, and cultural manager. She holds a degree in Dramaturgy from RESAD. Since 2019, she has been a beneficiary of the National System of Art Creators of FONCA (Mexico). She has received numerous awards, such as the Calderón Prize for Dramatic Literature and the Jesús Domínguez Prize for Theatrical Texts. Her works have been presented in America and Europe and have been translated into four languages.
Itziar Pascual She is a playwright, researcher, professor, and journalist. She has won the 2019 National Prize for Performing Arts for Children and Youth; the ASSITEJ Spain Prize with Chewing Nettles; the Children's Texts Competition of the Navarra School of Theatre, with Aroma of vanilla; the SGAE Children's Theatre Award with The life of salmon and the Morales-Martínez Prize for Children's Theatre, with Ainhara (Drama poem)toCosta Rican)She is the author of the essay Suzanne Lebeau. Traces of Hope, also published by ASSITEJ in its Essay Collection.
The presentation of the text, which has a prologue by Antonia Amo and which will be the 23rd volume of the ASSITEJ Theatre Collection, coincides with the premiere of the production, as part of the prize, at the Calderón Theatre in Valladolid.
The event will be in the theater itself, at 12:00; and we will be joined by the authors and Javier Hernando, Publications Manager for ASSITEJ Spain.
