We have inaugurated the 1st Conference on Playwriting for Children and Youth. Participants in the various panels discussed how to address children and young people in the theater, with Oriol Puig Taulé, Lorenzo Soto, Víctor Borràs, and Anna Espinach, and discussed how playwriting for children and youth has changed in recent years in the intergenerational dialogues held between Joan Solé, Ramon Molins, Itziar Pascual, Carla Rovira, and Paco Gámez.

We also had the views of Toni Casares of the Sala Beckett, Agnela Domínguez of SGAE Catalunya, Eulàlia Ribera, president of ASSITEJ-Spain, and Cristina García, member of the Board of Directors of the Professional Association of Theatre for All Publics – TTP, during the opening session of the conference.

But there wasn't just time for debate: the Writing Workshop attendees continued into the third session with playwright Suzanne Lebeau.

The 1st Conference on Playwriting for Children and Youth is already underway and will continue throughout the weekend, but the time for reflection has only just begun. We will also discuss how playwriting for children and youth is designed by age group and the combination of school and theater.

Until March 31st at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona. More information:
