The meeting has already been called XXII ASSITEJ Spain Award for Children's and Youth Theater, which aims to stimulate creation of dramaturgy aimed at young audiences.

The award is held biannually and is open to submissions written in Spanish or any of the co-official languages of Spain (with a translation). This year, submissions may be individually signed or co-authored. The theme and structure are open to submission, but they must be unpublished works that have not won awards in other competitions.

There is a single cash prize of €2,500, accompanied by a commemorative trophy. The work may also be published by ASSITEJ Spain in its Theatre Collection.

The winning work in the last edition (2018) was Whale's stomach, by Luis Fernando de Julián.

The ASSITEJ Spain Prize for Theatre for Children and Youth has been held for 51 years, and this year the reception of originals is open until October 15 at 24:00h (Spanish peninsular time).

We look forward to your texts!
