Teacher training with Invisible Pedagogies and María Acaso
The classroom is a performing arts space: the stage, the audience, the story, the actors and actresses…
There's no doubt that the performing arts can be a great help when designing our learning experiences. But to do so, we need to approach them from a different perspective and focus on the methodology rather than the content itself. In this seminar, we'll help you reflect on how theater and its practices can be a pedagogical ally for schools.
It will be divided into the following thematic modules, each 2 hours long:
MODULE 1
FROM THE SCREEN TO THE BODY
María Acaso and Andrea De Pascual
Tuesday, May 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Performing arts as a working methodology. In this session, María Acaso, an international expert in Arts Education, along with Andrea De Pascual, will use a practical example to illustrate the potential of the performing arts and performance to activate teaching and learning contexts in the classroom.
MODULE 2
FROM THE DESK TO THE STAGE Carmen Oviedo and Andrea De Pascual.
Wednesday, May 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
In this module, we will reflect on the potential of the theater as a pedagogical device. Through practical examples, we will reflect on the capabilities of the performing arts to transform educational contexts.
