The Opera of waste It is a surprising musical work for the little ones, unique in its genre, with the particularity
that the protagonists are just that, waste. But if the theme of recycling gives a special value to this text, possibly the most notable thing is the multiple literary games proposed by the author, Antonia Bueno, who comments on her work: "Creating this Opera of waste It's been a real pleasure. I've played, I've laughed, I've danced, I've cried, I've lost myself, and I've found myself again.
Unfolded in an old Latin book, a dry crust of bread, a bottle with a single drop, a nearly empty gas can, a worn-out bar of soap, three rounded peels, and two urban bands, I have traveled through the labyrinths of our city, the sewers "full of poop"…, until I reached the recycling plant, where an old alchemist, the great "residueologist" who sings in proparoxytones "like a great music lover and mythological bird," has transmuted my characters and myself into alchemical gold. And I owe it all to that little girl who, holding her grandfather's hand, fearfully rode the cardboard horse so many years ago. She has been my guide and my teacher not only throughout this work, but for more than half a century, helping me ride the horse of life. Beyond the cracks in the photo, beyond the shock and surprise, she's with me, always alive and ready to start playing theater. Toñi, Antoñita, thank you so much.
