The European Fair of Performing Arts for Children, FETEN, is a space that promotes exchanges and cooperation between the different sectors involved in the creation and distribution of performing arts.

The importance and significance of children's theater in Spain and virtually all of Europe has given rise to the need for a place or space where interests, experiences, knowledge, and direct connections between programmers, companies, and professionals in the field can be combined, exchanged, shared, and facilitated; all of this striving to elevate and dignify the ever-increasing quality of performing arts created for and by children.

A fundamental structure is maintained in all editions of FETEN. That is, a fair-like atmosphere, bringing together programmers, distributors, and others from our country and Europe, with the resulting market-boosting potential; but also the exhibition of shows, a forum for debate, book presentations, exhibitions, and so on, all of which contribute to enhancing and enriching everything related to this aspect of culture.

Since its first edition in 1991, a series of debates and meetings have been held as part of its programming with the firm goal of uniting education and theater, given that theater is a fundamental channel of expression and communication between the individual, society, and culture. Proposals from leading specialists in children's and youth theater from different perspectives contribute to making these debates a dynamic forum for addressing the issues of theater for children and adolescents.

All of this means that FETEN not only serves as a market (exhibiting theatrical projects and booking them with promoters and programmers), but also as a framework for ongoing debate.
