Each month, Executive Committee members represent ASSITEJ around the world, giving seminars, lecturing, performing, directing, attending festivals, and more. These are the places they visited in November:
Yvette Hardie, President, attended the first meeting of Azerbaijan's national center.
Ivica Simic, Secretary General, is directing the play at Song Song Song Theatre in Taiwan and Mingri Theatre for Hong Kong in Taipei, Taiwan, until November 13.
Kim Peter Kovac, Vice President, is in New York City from November 11-14, observing RAW Dance Company from Australia at New Victory Theatre, meeting with three New Visions/New Voices project leaders, and attending the memorial service for Nancy Swortzell, co-founder of the Theatre Education Program at New York University.
Treasurer Noel Jordan will be in Sydney from November 13-16 attending the Theatre Space Conference at the Sydney Opera House. He will also attend Festival Awesome in Perth from November 24-27.
Marisa Gimenez Cacho attended the National Theater Festival in Campeche, Mexico, from November 4-8. She will then visit the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., from November 9-14.
Imran Khan visited Dramatic Arts Center in Hamadan, Iran from November 5-12.
