III Conference on dramaturgy for children and youth

The 3rd Conference on Playwriting for Children and Youth will be held at the iconic National Drama Centre of Madrid and will feature the presence of the prominent Cuban playwright Blanca Felipe Rivero who will teach the workshop: “I am” of the character and the mother image in writing explorations for childhood.

In 2019, from the union of shared concerns between ASSITEJ Spain and TTP – Professional Association of Theatre for All Audiences of Catalonia, the first ones emerge Dramaturgy Conference for Children and Youth, held at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona. Given the success of its first edition and the conclusions drawn at the time by professionals, the need to continue it on an annual basis is evident., as well as calling on other entities and institutions that maintain lines of work linked to the performing arts aimed at children and young people.

The holding of the second conference at the Navarra School of Theatre in Pamplona confirmed the need for this forum and opened the door to its growth by linking it with other associations and institutions throughout the country.

The celebration of the 3rd Conference hosted by the National Drama Center in Madrid represents the consolidation of a benchmark event for playwriting and the opportunity to expand its impact internationally.

We propose a An ambitious program to delve deeper into the foundations of drama for young people, both girls and boys, to be held in conjunction with the presentation of the second edition of Nuevos Dramáticos (New Dramas). The National Drama Center's program of creation with and for children.
