A few weeks ago, I participated in the virtual meeting of authors and translators organized by the Authors and Theatre Authors Association (AAT), which under normal circumstances would have taken place at the Salón del Libro Teatral (Theatrical Book Fair).
There I had the opportunity to speak with international translators about my play "El hijo de Bean Nighe," which won an award two years ago in the Navarra School of Theatre's Children's Play Text Competition. In subsequent editions, the texts of ASSITEJ members Lola Fernández de Sevilla and Nieves Rodriguez Rodriguez were also awarded prizes.
Tim Gutteridge, one of the translators I had the pleasure of meeting, has a blog dedicated to promoting his work and introducing other works to be translated by other colleagues.
This link shares synopses of the works he was able to see at the event, including "The Son of Bean Night":
Given these circumstances, we must value the efforts of the professionals who carry out activities like these, which serve both to disseminate information and to forge new networks in the international theater world.
