A flood of imagination that we will all embark on…
The floating house is a simple, suggestive and symbolic work that tells the story of Noah, a girl who had never seen rain. Her greatest wish was to see a rainbow, but where she lived, it no longer rained. One day, Noah saves a fish from being caught by a hook. In gratitude, the fish warns her of the arrival of a great flood that will flood everything. Noah makes a boat out of his house and calls all the animals to save them, but not all of them are in the countdown; the flea, the elephant, the kangaroo are missing... Noah decides to go and look for them.
La Casa Flotante premiered at the 61st Granada International Music and Dance Festival in June 2012. It was recently performed in the Main Hall of the Teatro Real in Madrid and in April 2013 it will have its premiere in Catalonia at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
5 years Machining: Since 2008, the creators of La Maquiné have not stopped creating quality shows until they have become one of the main performing arts companies for children and young people. La Maquiné generates creative works where the plastic, gestural and musical language stands out as the main driving force, offering shows with a contemporary look and an unmistakable personal seal. The radical plastic aesthetic sense that they use on stage, where each element that is shown responds to a meaning, is articulated from a score that names the scene again and again as a canvas, dramaturgy of the image.
