The playwright and journalist Itziar Pascual, National Award for Performing Arts for Children and Youth, published under the editorial Point of View Editors 'Blue days and sunshine of childhood', an anthology of his seven theatrical texts aimed at children, but also relevant to adult audiences.
The book presentation will take place on Monday October 16 at 7:00 p.m.—coinciding with Women Writers' Day—at the Antonio Machado bookstore located in the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. At the event, the author will speak with writer Elisa Martin Ortega, and there will be a dramatized reading by actress Leyre Abadía.
'Blue days and sunshine of childhood' invites the reader to delve into his theatrical works 'Meowless', 'Chewing Nettles'' (ASSITEJ Spain Award), 'Vanilla Air' (XXIV Competition of the Navarra School of Theatre), 'The Life of Salmon' (SGAE Children's Theatre Award 2015), 'Ainhara' (Dramatic poem) (Luis Barahona de Soto Award), 'Raíz and Pepito (A life story for children and grandparents) (Morales Martínez Prize for Theatrical Texts 2019), accompanied by an introduction by the author herself and an artistic and technical sheet. The works in this volume have been translated into English, French, Italian, and Basque, and have premiered and toured in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States.
