José Luis Baños de Cos
José Luis Baños de Cos (Jerez de la Frontera, 1977) has a degree in Social Anthropology and studied social theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed. He combines his work as a theatre teacher and playwright. He has been recognised with various awards, including the Jenaro Marinhas del Valle Short Theatre Prize (2018) for O Círculo, the 14th Abrente Prize for theatre texts for Asfixia, two editions of the Roberto Vidal Bolaño Prize for A cámara escura and Lume and the 8th Varela Buxán Theatre Prize (2021) for Segunda morte. In 2021 he won the 30th Competition for theatre texts aimed at children's audiences of the Navarra School of Theatre and Pamplona City Council.
