The Jury has decided to award the XXIII ASSITEJ Spain Prize for Theatre for Children and Young People to… «Of heroes and monsters» by the author Xabier López Askasibar.
The jury praised the work for its ability to x-ray a social problem from a multifaceted perspective, the originality and complexity of the structure and the intelligent use of time. All this with a great ability to connect with the sensitivity of the young public and without giving up the sense of humor.
The jury has considered the work a finalist and highlighted its quality «Dream (1826)»
In this edition, a total of 89 works have been presented and the jury has been made up of Toni Casares, Javier de Dios, Lola Fernández de Sevilla, Nieves Rodríguez Rodríguez, and Lorenzo Soto.
