The Association of Theatre Authors is once again organizing the International Theatre Book Fair. This year, the event will be held at the Nave de Terneras de Matadero, from November 3rd to 5th, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In order to promote both dramatic texts and other publications related to the Performing Arts, the Association of Theatre Authors has organized sixteen editions of the International Theatre Book Fair to date, held in various Spanish cities.
This new edition will feature exhibitors from various countries, including publishers, bookstores, associations, documentation centers, and cultural organizations, as well as representatives from the leading portals related to authorship and theatrical publishing.
In addition to the commercial activity itself, the following events are scheduled at the show, among others:
Dramatized readings by prestigious actors and directors.
Opening day for educational centers with performances and dramatized readings of texts written for this purpose.
A meeting of authors and translators for the international dissemination of Spanish theater. This event we co-organize with the SGAE Foundation, with the participation of translators from Germany, France, Great Britain, Hungary, and Italy.
Roundtable discussions and debates with editors, critics, and renowned Spanish and other authors on key industry topics.
Express Theatre: A quick-play competition that awards and premieres at the Salon the best short play written on-site.
Award ceremony for the 4th Jesús Campos Competition for theatrical texts.
Award for Best Editorial Work, awarded annually by the AAT in recognition of a career.
And much more…
