Playwriting workshops for children and young people
As a result of the need to vindicate playwriting for children and young people, the TTP - Asociación Profesional de Teatro para Todos los Públicos and ASSITEJ España are organising the I Jornadas de dramaturgia para la infancia y la juventud, a space for meeting and debate that allows us to reflect on the way in which the performing arts are aimed at the youngest audiences.
This first edition will be held at the Sala Beckett in Barcelona from 29 to 31 March, although from 27 March there will be a workshop given by the prestigious Canadian playwright Suzanne Lebeau. The conference also includes spaces for reflection and debate on dramaturgy aimed at younger audiences and meetings between renowned specialists and professionals in the performing arts.
The aim of the conference is to vindicate playwriting for children and young people, which has not always had the artistic recognition it deserves. This is where the work of authors, companies and associations will be highlighted, which for some years now have been developing an exploration of new languages and artistic tools that is revitalising theatre aimed at young audiences.
